Sign up for HCPL Winter Reading 2026! This year’s theme, 80 Winters of Wonder, invites our community to reflect on eight decades of imagination, learning, and connection through the Library, while also embracing the magic and warmth of Winter Reading.

Created especially for adults and high school students in grades 9-12, Winter Reading runs from Saturday, December 20, 2025, through Friday, March 20, 2026.

Participation is easy and fun! Adults need to read or listen to at least 5 books, and high school students need to read or listen to at least 3 books.

Complete this part of the reading challenge, and you’ll earn a FREE HCPL Winter Reading 2026 collector’s mug*. Mugs will be available for pick up at all HCPL locations beginning Monday, December 22.

Additionally, join in our Winter Reading Bingo for a chance to win more prizes! Bingo includes engaging activities and opportunities to support local businesses. Complete five activities in a column, row, or diagonally to get Bingo, and you'll be awarded a collectible HCPL 80th Anniversary bookmark* that may be picked up at any HCPL location, starting Tuesday, January 20. You will also be entered to win a limited-edition 2026 HCPL Winter Reading tote bag*.
